FAQ - About Open Play

  • Are older kids allowed in the play area?

    The play area is designed for children up to 7. Older children are allowed in the play area as “helpers” but MUST use the equipment and toys carefully and respectfully.

  • Can I Celebrate a Birthday Party During Open Play Hours?

    No. We do not allow parties during our normal open play hours. We schedule our parties on Saturday and Sundays. We have two packages to celebrate birthdays here and we hope you decide to do so!

  • Are Socks required?

    Yes! Socks are required for anyone who goes in the play area. We recommend the socks with non-slip grips on the bottoms of little feet. If you have a condition that does not allow you to remove shoes and wear socks, please speak with the front desk.

  • Do I need to sign a waiver?

    Yes, everyone who enters the play area must have a signed waiver on file.

  • Can we bring alcohol?

    No, sorry, we do not allow alcohol.

  • What else Should I know?

    Please only consume food in the designated dining areas do not allow your child to walk around with food which can be dropped in the play area or passed to another child.

    After eating/ drinking, please dispose of your trash in the bins provided throughout the play space. Highchairs are available for little ones.

FAQ - Host a Party

  • What if I want to change my package choice as the party gets closer?

    That’s fine! You have up to two weeks before to change your party details.

  • Can I bring in my own food/drink or decor?

    YES! With any of our party packages you may bring in additional food/drink/decorations. We ask that all food stay in the cafe area and is not allowed in the play space.

  • Can I add the 30 extra minutes?

    Depending on when you are scheduling and which party you have chosen! Please email us to inquire about additional time.

  • The party times available don’t work for our family-are there options to move/change the time?

    Sometimes. please inquire with hello@grandmajanesplayhouse.com to see about changing your parties’ timing.

  • What do I do at the end of our party time?

    Pay final invoice, take what you would like to keep and leave the mess to us!

  • Do you have high chairs for use?

    Yes! We have two high chairs for you and your guests to utilize.

  • Do you have a freezer or ice available?

    No, we do not have a freezer. We have a refrigerator and unlimited supply of ice.

  • When can I arrive to set up?

    You can arrive 30 minutes before your party begins to set up.

  • Will I have to worry about other parties or customers in the facility during my event?

    No! Our event rentals are completely PRIVATE! You and your guests will have the entire facility for your party.

  • If we decide to cancel for any reason, will we get our deposit back?

    Unfortunately, your deposit is non-refundable. You are welcome to reschedule your date if your date no longer works due to change of plans, etc. However, any cancellation/reschedule within two weeks of the party shall result in an additional $25 cancellation fee, on top of the party deposit.
